Drinking for Dogs: an Evening for Old Dog Haven

Join us for an evening benefitting Old Dog Haven, a nonprofit dedicated to the belief that all senior dogs should live out their final years peacefully as members of a caring family. Old Dog Haven is a small nonprofit group utilizing a vast network of foster homes to provide a loving, safe home for abandoned senior dogs in western Washington. Given the room and the means, they take these dogs into their homes. Old Dog Haven adopts out dogs with a reasonable life-expectancy. They care for the rest as members of the family in permanent foster homes, termed “Final Refuge” for as long as they have good quality of life. In addition, they try to assist owners in finding new homes for their senior dogs through a network of referrals and their website.    Your donations allow Old Dog Haven to fund the veterinary care and sponsorship for approximately 300 senior dogs in foster homes at any given time. With an average medical care cost of $90,000, your donation goes towards eye care, cardiology, and cancer care, to name a few. 

Old Dog Haven also relies on sponsorships for Final Refuge dogs. Final Refuge dogs have been deemed unadoptable due to health issues, being too fragile to move again, or very close to the end of their lives. Old Dog Haven has over 300 dogs in permanent, final refuge care. Your sponsorship helps with medical care and expenses for all the dogs in final refuge care. Sponsoring a senior helps makes their final years, their golden ones.
